Industries We've Helped Transform
Every organisation has unique data challenges, but the outcome is often the same: better decisions through trusted data. From banking and education to manufacturing and healthcare, we’ve helped organisations modernise their data platforms, improve reporting, automate processes and unlock greater value from their information. Explore how we’ve partnered with customers across a range of industries.
Banking & Financial
Financial institutions sharing fraud and cybercrime intelligence face a hard problem: the data grows faster than the systems built to handle it. One member owned crime prevention body found itself managing millions of records tied to suspicious transactions, using a collaboration tool that was never designed for that volume and every added data type slowed the platform further.
Rather than rip out the front-end system that banks and analysts already relied on, we built a new data layer underneath it. The existing collaboration tool stayed in place for day-to-day work, while a dedicated analytics engine took over the heavy lifting of processing and connecting fraud data behind the scenes. The result: an organisation now managing more than eleven distinct, highly complex data types drawn from major banks, with the platform running fast enough to keep pace with a caseload that keeps climbing.
Ongoing maintenance dropped to a level their own team could handle without added headcount. For an industry where slow data access means fraud goes undetected a day longer, that speed and the eventual ability to cross reference data no single institution could see alone, is the whole point.
K-12 Education
Multi school systems often collect enormous amounts of data, from attendance and results to budgets and maintenance logs, without any way to bring it together. One Catholic education authority overseeing dozens of primary and secondary schools found that every staff member kept data in their own spreadsheets, with no shared format and no visualisation tools at all.
School leaders could not see whether a change in staffing or resourcing was actually helping students and comparisons between schools were effectively guesswork. We ran a trial across a handful of schools, then rolled dashboards out system wide once principals saw what became possible. Data that once took weeks to compile can now be reviewed in real time, with digital dashboards showing attendance, staff development and academic results side by side.
Analysis has already revealed a meaningful gap between school-based assessment and standardised test results, insight now shaping teaching approaches directly. Teachers use the same dashboards to prepare for parent meetings in minutes rather than hours. For education leaders accountable for outcomes across many schools, the shift is from reacting to last term’s results to tracking progress as it happens.
Digital Marketing & Advertising
Performance marketing runs on volume: keywords, impressions, clicks, and conversions and one agency managing thousands of campaigns for its clients had outgrown the tools meant to handle it.
Spreadsheets built to track a few hundred thousand rows were crashing under data sets of eight to ten million rows and pulling together a single client report could eat five hours of an analyst’s day, every time. We rebuilt their reporting pipeline around a modern analytics platform, deployed in stages so the team could validate results against client expectations at every step. Reports that took five hours now take about thirty minutes, generated without manual handling of the underlying data. Clients get a live dashboard instead of a spreadsheet, so they can see how a campaign is tracking and what it is returning on spend without waiting for the next report cycle.
Staff who once spent their days reformatting data now spend it optimising campaigns instead. For an agency whose value is measured entirely in the return it delivers per marketing dollar, faster, cleaner data is not a nice to have. It is the product.
Food & Agribusiness
In beef processing, margin comes down to yield, and that means dashboards showing carcass and production data need to be fast and trustworthy every shift. One of Australia’s largest beef processors and exporters found its reporting layer had become a bottleneck: dashboard load times were dragging, analysts were losing time drilling into report data and the existing tool offered little room to customise views to their own needs.
We moved the business to a new visualisation platform, running prototypes first so the team could validate the approach before a full rollout and trained analysts to solve real reporting problems rather than just teaching the software in the abstract. Within nine months, more than 300 people were using the new reporting environment daily, with an internal group of super users producing over 1,200 views of enterprise data without raising a single ticket.
The rollout also gave the business a chance to document its calculations, so different teams now trust the same numbers rather than each group calculating yield its own way. For a processor where pricing and revenue turn on getting yield right, that shared source of truth matters as much as the speed.
Telecommunications & Retail
For a national telecommunications retailer, paying staff fairly on commission depends on knowing exactly who made which sale and one long standing provider found its systems could not reliably answer that question. Sales were sometimes credited to the wrong staff member or store, rostering gaps made it impossible to set fair individual targets and a two-day processing lag meant real time visibility into store performance did not exist.
We built a solution on top of the company’s existing data warehouse, using workflow automation to turn rostered hours into individualised sales targets and a reporting layer giving store managers a live view of how each staff member was tracking. Misallocated sales can now be corrected on the spot rather than disputed after the fact. With accurate, individual level tracking in place, the company introduced commission paid on personal performance rather than an equal store wide split, a change already credited with lifting morale.
Daily sales estimates now fill the gap while upstream data catches up, so leadership is not flying blind between reporting cycles. In a retail environment where trust in the numbers behind pay directly affects morale, getting the attribution right changes the culture on the floor.
Superannuation & Wealth Management
Superannuation funds compete on how well they understand their members and employers. Spot a disengaged member or an employer at risk of switching funds too late, and the business is already behind. One multi billion-dollar fund had built a data lake several years earlier to support this kind of analysis but wanted to go further: segmenting members and employers with more precision and removing the manual testing bottleneck that slowed every new report or data linkage.
We layered in modelling and automated testing tools alongside their existing data infrastructure, giving the IT team the ability to structure member and employer data into a segmented data mart. Members can now be grouped by life stage for more targeted campaigns, and employer data is modelled specifically to flag growth and retention opportunities. On the technical side, a growing library of automated regression tests now runs throughout development rather than only at the end, cutting the risk that a data scenario gets missed before something goes live.
For a fund managing hundreds of thousands of members and tens of thousands of employer relationships, confidence that every report reflects current, accurate data has become as important as the reports themselves.
Government & Public Sector
Public sector data teams are often expected to serve everyone from frontline staff to executive leadership from the same systems and one state transport shared services organisation found its data governance and architecture could not keep up with that demand. Business intelligence was hard to govern, technology was ageing and the organisation lacked a roadmap for turning data into a genuine asset rather than a maintenance burden.
We reviewed current processes and future requirements, then built a roadmap addressing the vision, enablers, and priority initiatives the organisation needed to act on immediately. From there, we developed a plan for a connected, governed and accessible data ecosystem, along with practical building blocks, including a data catalogue, a governance model, a business glossary and self-service data access, so staff at every level could find and trust the data they needed.
The organisation now has a foundation that scales as new initiatives are added, not a system rebuilt each time priorities shift. For public sector bodies under pressure to do more with fixed budgets and heavy scrutiny, a clear, governed path from raw data to decision making is the difference between a data strategy that sits on a shelf and one that gets used.
Veterinary & Healthcare Services
Running a network of veterinary clinics means juggling clinical, financial and workforce data across every site and one national veterinary group found that simply accessing and combining that information was cumbersome enough to stall day to day decisions.
Without a forecasting or reporting foundation, leadership could not easily see where revenue was leaking or how staffing across hundreds of clinics was playing out. We built the foundational data warehouse and reporting layer the group needed, then expanded it over time as the business acquired new clinics and needed to bring new data sources online. Leadership now has an integrated view of clinic performance built for evidence-based decisions, with dedicated analysis surfacing revenue leaks that would otherwise go unnoticed and workforce data supporting staffing decisions across the network.
As the organisation has grown, ongoing support and training have kept pace, so internal teams can keep extending the system themselves rather than depending on outside help for every change. For a multi-site healthcare business where a small leak at one clinic is easy to miss and expensive to ignore at scale, one connected picture of the numbers, clinical and financial, turns a fragmented network into one leadership can actually manage.
Manufacturing
Manufacturers running on thin margins need production and financial data pulled together automatically, or decisions lag behind the factory floor. One of Australia’s largest manufacturers, producing home furnishings at national scale, needed a back-end data warehouse that could integrate manufacturing data with its financial systems, replacing a patchwork of manual processes.
We built that foundational warehouse and data pipeline first, then expanded it as the business grew through acquisition, folding two additional manufacturing operations’ data sources and financial systems into the same environment without disrupting day to day production reporting. Front end reporting continued through the business’s existing tools, so teams did not have to relearn how they viewed their numbers, even as the data feeding those views grew far more capable underneath.
The result is a manufacturer that can integrate new business units into its data environment as it grows, rather than starting from scratch with every acquisition. For manufacturing leaders who need production numbers and financial numbers to agree with each other in order to price and plan accurately, that kind of durable, expandable foundation is what keeps growth from turning into a data mess.
