After 4 weeks of non-stop and Intensive training on Alteryx and Tableau, finally, we handed on our first client project.
Project triangle: Time, Cost and Scale with Quality in the middle.
What is scrum: scrum is a Methodology Framework that is used to implement Agile development. It is not like a traditional project management method and addresses more on showing partly results to the client by the end of each spring. It also addresses irritate requirements for next sprint and still maintain like a little closed project within each sprint. Scrum methodology is suitable for the small but short time frame project and allows the project team to meet the end requirement to closely focus on client’s needs.
Successful serum needs to see the clear roles’ responsibility of team members and Scrum master. High self-organized team members is a must. In each Sprint, there will be a strict time frame and scope in them are fixed. Scrum mast should call up for a Sprint Review and daily Scrums stand up meetings every day to make sure everyone are one the same picture and to see where are they. The team will set up a Story Wall, Backlogs and Refactoring to follow every task as well.
Day1:
The client meets the whole team and explained the whole dataset for us. Most importantly they put forward the business questions and their outcome expectations.
We began with breakdown main questions into tasks. Set up a story walls. confirm the time limitations and break down into separate date. Work in 4 groups in pairs to deal with different datasets.
Good for today: almost achieve the goal which is clean the datasets by the end of the day.
Bad: I still think the way I posted which was to breakdown the question after we did a little bit of investigation to the data.
Plan tomorrow: figure out the Relational Schemas, Use the Pyramid structure to breakdown them into dimensions.
