For Day 5, we have a… less than fun topic. Death.
Specifically, the deaths of journalists throughout the years. Similar to Tuesday and Thursday, we’ve got to do this one with one hand tied behind our backs. In this case, that handicap is not having access to the latest version of Tableau – in this case, only working with version 8.3.
This presented a number of challenges.
For one, the program is a lot less robust than it has become in 2019. Many features we take for granted now – like being able to use charts within a tooltip – are just not possible in this version.
