Dashboard Week Day 4: IMDB API

For Day 4 of the dashboard week, we  had to use IMDB API to find our data set. I focused on the TV Show ‘Stranger Things’ as I am currently watching it 🙂  .

There are  three parts  for the Dashboard. I went with an informative style for today

  1. Writing and Direction : Lists out the directors for each episode.
  2. Sentiment Analysis – I got the scripts of the show and used Alteryx Intelligence Suit tool to do sentiment analysis on data for season 1. The Algorithm used is ‘VADAR’ .VADER (Valence Aware Dictionary and sentiment Reasoner) is a lexicon and rule-based sentiment analysis tool that is specifically attuned to sentiments expressed in social media, and works well on texts from other domains.

3.  IMDB Rating: used a step chart to show the ratings
