What is London Fire Brigade (LFB)?
The London Fire Brigade is the fire and rescue service for London, the capital of the United Kingdom. It was formed by the Metropolitan Fire Brigade Act 1865, under the leadership of superintendent Eyre Massey Shaw. In this blog, I’ll show my process of creating a dashboard based on LFB Fire Incidents data.
Dashboard Creation
a) Introduction & Key Number
From Jan 2009 to Sep 2022, there are about 292K fire incidents, accounting for almost 20% of total incidents. However, False Automatic Fire Alarms accounted for around 36% of the total incidents, leading to a loss of 176.1M pounds. That loss is equal to almost 30% of the total spend.

b) Create a map chart to show the distribution of fire incidents
From 2009 to 2022, most fire incidents happened in central London.

c) Add drilldown-function

d) Create a heatmap & line chart to show the relationship between the frequency of fire incidents and temperature
April, May, June, July, and August are usually the months that will have more fire incidents.
In summer and autumn, the temperature is high, which could contribute the fire incidents.

e) Arrange the Layout and Finalise the Dashboard
