For the third day of Dashboard week, we got the challenge to prepare data and create the visualization either in tableau or in power BI. We got the dataset for the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), which contains two sheets. One sheet was about the bio of the artist and the second sheet contained the data about the contribution made by each artist from 1920 to 2020. Data was not clean, the constitute_id field contain the object for each artist that contributed to the art. In order to get the row from each artist, I needed to split it by rows. It took more than half of the day to clean and join the data. I have used Alteryx to wrangle and shape my data.Below the picture of my workflow:
After that I have exported my final output as hyper file in tableau. In visualisation I wanted to see contribution made male and female artist over the period of time. For this visualisation I tried to make it in form of report, I have used different charts and orientation to to make it look pretty and presentable. I did some research as well to see who are the famous artist that contributed more in museum of modern art and what are their cultural background. Final look of my dashboard is below:
