Today is the last day of the dashboard challenge week, and the topic we’ve given out is the Cricket Big Bash League
The Big Bash League (BBL) is one of the world’s most popular professional Twenty20 cricket leagues. It has produced some of the best batsmen in the game.
The question I have is can a good batsman also be a good bowler?
There are certainly some examples of players who perform exceptionally well in both areas.
For instance, Shane Watson was a dominant Australian national team batsman and a skilled bowler, often opening the bowling for his team.
However, it is important to note that batting and bowling are two very different skills.
Batting requires hand-eye coordination, agility, and the ability to read the game and anticipate the bowler’s delivery.
Bowling, on the other hand, requires physical strength, accuracy, and the ability to generate a pace

The biggest challenge I faced was my lack of knowledge about cricket, so
The first step was to do some research on the rules and terminology of the game.
The second step is to use Tableau to explore the data and find answers to our questions.
There are certainly players who have talent in both areas. In the BBL, we have seen players like Watson and Russell thrive as all-rounders, and there are likely to be more in the future.
So, can a good batsman be a good bowler? It is certainly possible, but it requires a rare combination of skills to succeed in both areas. Regardless, the BBL is sure to continue producing some of the best batsmen and bowlers in the game, see if we can find it soon.
