MIP’s partner CEDP promotes Raju Varanasi to Data Intelligence Director

Congratulations to Raju Varanasi, who was featured in the CIO Australia Magazine for his work with Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta in using data to transform learning!

In his new role, Raju Varanasi will be responsible for cloud and networks, devices and end user services, analytics and data, applications and security, enterprise service desk, enterprise program office, and change management.

In the interview with CIO Australia he said he will be still performing the CIO duties, but also expand his responsibility around data intelligence.

“We are one of the data-driven digital transformation organisations and wanted to give data and intelligence a bigger focus. It is of a very high level of importance,” he told CIO Australia.

[The fact that the CIO and data intelligence person is at the board level, at the executive level] “…actually elevates the importance of data decision making. It also speaks to the transformation that we’re working on.”

“We are absolutely on a high-speed transformation of analytics, service desk and cloud. And now it’s coming to a peak, enabling transformation for end users: the students and teachers and parents.”

Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta is a system of 80 schools, 25 out of school hours care centres, 5 early learning centres and 2 trade training centres in western Sydney with 43,000 students and 4,500 staff.
